General Info
Hong Kong Baptist University is an autonomous, public-funded university with a Christian heritage. It was founded in 1956 and is the second oldest institution of higher learning in Hong Kong. As an exchange partner with Samford University, Samford students can take the opportunity to study at HKBU for a full semester. The medium of instruction is English. The University consists of five campuses: Ho Sin Hang, Shaw, Baptist University Road, Kai Tak and Shek Mun.  Each campus is conveniently located near the Kowloon Tong Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system.

Hong Kong Baptist University offers one semester and one year exchanges, and the freedom to take courses from more than 40 undergraduate degree programs.  The university works with students to ensure the best academic placement for their needs and goals. Interested students may review the schedule to see what courses are offered and how they may best fit their Samford academic goals. The Global Engagement Office staff is available to advise you as you consider your options, and you can also work through this information with your academic advisor.
Student Life
Student life begins upon arrival with the East-West Encounters Program.  This program is aimed at orienting international students to the campus and to facilitate cross-cultural understanding.  Many activities occur throughout the semester, which include:
